Katka Scott
Massage Practitioner. Ayurveda, yoga and botanical care.
I bring together Eastern healing traditions and a Western understanding of anatomy, because I've seen how much more is possible when care looks at the whole person.
I value natural living, organic ingredients and staying well: looking at the things that wear us down over time, as well as the place that aches today.
Where the name comes from
Twenty years ago my parents gave me a jade pendant from New Zealand, with a wave of pāua shell set into its lower edge.
Jade runs through my work: jade stones and tools in my treatments, and a warm jade infrared mat on my table. When it came to naming the practice, the pendant was already there, with a lotus waiting to rise from the bottom of it.
Jade represents the strength that endures. Lotus represents the beauty that emerges.
Why this work
Losing my mother to cancer in 2009 changed how I think about health.
It deepened my interest in holistic care and in the many connected things that shape how we feel: what we eat, how we rest, the stress we carry and the rituals that steady us. Jade Lotus is where that interest became a practice.

How I work
- Whole person
- Each session starts with how you are, not just where it hurts.
- Natural first
- Botanical oils and ingredients I know by name, and nothing I wouldn't use myself.
- Staying well
- Small, steady rituals between visits, so the calm lasts longer than the session.
